Mosaic Recorder Consort brings together elements from all the various traditions of recorder playing and presents them as a unified whole - like the pieces of a mosaic resolving into a unique picture. We source our repertoire from all over the world and all through time - Medieval, Renaissance and Baroque music; modern classical music either with or without extended contemporary techniques; folk music from an eclectic mix of countries; recorder jazz; arrangements of music "borrowed" from the Classical and Romantic traditions; and even rock/pop music, when we're in the mood.
